Hut pyxis of green steatite.
Naxos.
Early Cycladic I and II periods (3200 – 2300 B.C.).

Elongated figure – of eight – shaped with saddle – shaped lid and incised spiral decoration. These hut pyxides have been interpreted as houses, shrines or granaries.
