Kouros, probably funerary, made of island marble. It was found at Korrhesia on the island of Kea. The hair, tied with a ribbon hangs down the back in beaded tresses and sits in thick, shell-like curls on the forehead. Dynamic treatment of the human body. Work of an island sculptor.
