Marble torso of a kouros. It was found in the bed of the Ilissos river, in Athens. The kouros wears an himation, that covers his back and hangs symmetrically open at the front. Dressed kouroi were common in the north-east Aegean and east Greece, especially Ionia, by which the present piece is influenced.
