Marble colossal head of Zeus from Aigeira, Achaia

Marble head of a colossal statue of Zeus. It was found at Aigeira, Achaia; the head in 1916 and the left arm in 1920. The eyes were made of different material and inlaid. The holes on the right side of the head were used to attach a metal wreath. It was probably the statue of Zeus seen by the traveller Pausanias at Aigeira, which was made by the Athenian sculptor Eukleides.
